PR 0.97 Crashes from Desura

Not exactly sure where to put this: it isn't really a bug, and it really isn't feedback. If this thread needs to be moved, that's fine.

I just downloaded PR 0.97 from Desura. When I click Play, the PR splash screen comes up (not full screen) and then a message pops up saying that "pr.exe has stopped working."

I am running Windows 7.

1) Is there a way to fix this or do I need to download from ModDB or something?
2) Is there a way to set the game to run in compatibility mode or something? Maybe that would solve the problem?

Run as an administrator.

Make sure you have patched battlefield 2 with 1.41 and the 1.5 patch.

Ensure you have the right resulotion ingame.

The problem is that I can't find the location of the mod. I have no idea where Desura stores the mod files, so the only way I can use PR is to go into Desura, go the the PR page, and then click "Play Game." I have tried running Desura in Administrator mode, but that doesn't work. Does anyone know where Desura stores the files for PR? Also, I am positive that I have the 1.41 and 1.5 patches for BF2.

alright delete your BF 2 folder in my documents in your user folder

i had the same problem and it fixed it

after the deletion make sure you run BF2 to create an account and then run PR an dhave funh

Mod files are located in "D:\Program Files\Battlefield 2\mods\pr" - that is so in my case cause I installed BF2 in "D:\Program Files"

If you used default location swap "D:\Program Files" with C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\ ( for windows 32bit systems ) and for 64bit it should be C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr

Do you have PR shortcut on desktop? IF not right click on BF2 shortcut ( I suppose you have that ) and click on "Find target" ( for XP ) or "Open file location" for Vista - 7. Once youre in Battlefield 2 root directory check in mods directory for "pr". If its there, right click it and send it to desktop, make sure to start it as admin and try compatibility mode or not.
