Lost Battlefield 2 CD and Key!

Decided to get back into BF2 PR and it seems I have lost my CD and Key. I decided to torrent Battlefield 2 and enter some random CD key as I thought the key was tied to the account. Instead of everything working, when I tried to join a server it said invalid CD key. I am in desperate need of some PR fun time so can someone explain to me what I must do to get my account back and working?

You need to buy a new key.
