Weapon Malfunctions.
I was wondering if this mod would be able to code weapon malfunctions like a jam or what not. I think it would be interesting to be in a close quarter fight only to have your primary weapon jam up on you at the worst time.

Not really, I mean, it isnt like it happens after every 30 Bullets, in Americas Army for instance, it would happen very rarely, maybe like for a M16 per say, every 6 Magizines or so I would get a jam maybe, so it wont affect gameplay that often since it wont happen a lot, and when it does, it only takes several seconds to fix.Nosferatu wrote:It would be kind of a lame, in just having it jam out of no where. Id rather have it maybe when your in the water or somehow get it jammed with sand.
Though it is realistic, I think it will effect gameplay too much.

haha no i didnt mean it like that. youd might as well toss your main weapon to the side if you couldnt unjam it. ive only played AA once or twice, so i wasnt sure if there was a un-jam button.

You can find tables of organization and equipment (TO&E) for various units online.keef_haggerd wrote:where can i read more about this? i thought side arms were standard for all infantry?
In US and most other services, sidearms are usually only issued to the following types of personnel.
Officers (platoon leaders/commanders)
Non-Commissioned Officer unit leaders (squad leaders and platoon sergeants)
Crew-served weapon gunners (mortarmen, machinegunners and anti-tank /assaultmen; 1-2 assistant gunners carry ammunition, spare parts and rifles)
Special operations forces
Snipers
Military police and criminal investigators
Aviators/aircrewmen
Tank crewmen (1 x M16 is usually issued per tank)
And, of course, combat support or combat service support troops who aren't issued rifles.
