The stones are there to fight enemies when they have no ammo left in their RPGs. But I think that the knife is a better option

Agreed, but that only approved stones in civi kit, but cant really see its use in AT kit ...

Would you wait insurgent AT gunner to stone you to death because he was out of RPGs or would you shoot him?

As has been explained, the rocks' purpose is to simply provide a ranged weapon against infantry, even if it is the worst of all weapons. If it wasn't for the rocks, that kit slot would be empty, not filled with grenades. Everything beyond that is indeed a suggestion and belongs to the suggestion forum
