Well, I am an old hand at RyanVM and NLite for optimizing WinXP, in late 2009 when Win7 was first released I however got rageface trying to use a software tool made in France similar to RTSe7enLite, which was discontinued, then switched to RTSe7enLite, which was also discontinued and is buggy as f**k. I haven't had a need for it since, until this week.
The last tool I knew about was 7mizer, and I found out it was discontinued too!
Then I found out it wasn't discontinued, it was merged with 7Customizer in to a new product named BuClean Optimizer.

Has anyone else used this software?
This post is going to be my little adventure in trying to optimize either win7x64 retail or winserver2008r2x64 standard or both in to a htpc/server/gaming PC.
BuClean claims you can build functioning Win7 that comes in under 19GB, and a really stripped down version under 12GB.
So, off we go
Step 1:
Download the Beta of BuClean:
BuClean 5 Enterprise Optimized.rar
Step 2:
Download the Windows? Automated Installation Kit (AIK) for Windows? 7 (WAIK):
Download: Windows? AIK for Windows? 7 - Microsoft Download Center - Confirmation
Step 3:
Start reading BuClean blog FAQ and tutorials:

Step 4:
Bought retail Win7x64 for new PC.
Step 5:
...
BuClean 7Customizer, 7mizer and old 7Customizer, RTSe7enLite Optimize Vista and Win7

Never tried that, and I played with RyanVM and nLite back in days but neither do I neither do machines I install them on like slipstreamed versions. So I just go with OEM or retail versions.
