[Vehicle] Fuchs 1A8 [WIP]

Hi all!
Im modelling the fuchs 1A8. At the moment Im still blocking the shape. These wips are very very rough so dont mind the details.
But I need your opinions about the shape. Am I getting it right? Are tires too small?
I want to get the basics right, so I dont have to fix them later
My workflow: Block the shape, hi-poly and then low-poly. For low-poly unwrapping and after baking texturing

@amokandy: Yep

I really kept him waiting. He asked about 5 months ago. I started then, but soon I had to focus on making this huge 3d animation (which btw was boring as hell and paid very badly).
Now I?m free as a bird and can concentrate on fun things

Looks like you're making the high poly in a sculpting program? That's interesting, you don't see a lot of typical hard-surface stuff like weapons and vehicles done using those.

I was little bit busy last week. I had this vj gig.
But today I made some progress.
p.s Probably spent 4 hours in just blocking the basic shape, especially the front door area. Very tricky

Are you modeling max? If so I fully applaud your efforts for a high poly. One thing to watch for though is edge with/size as already it looks like a few of them are very tight and simply will get lost in the bake.

Yeah, i know already that im not going to use all the parts i have modeled. But making low poly on top of hipoly is much easier for so big model.
Anyways, it?s still good practice, and thats what i really need moar

Looking nice, loosening up you edges will allow the edge to catch more light when you bake your normal map. a good test to see if they're too thin is to zoom out from your model and see when the edges start aliasing
