Installer requires 1.5 patch

I have heard that BF2 does not work on windows 7 (64 bit) with the 1.5 patch. Is there anyway around installing the patch in order to install the game? If i do choose to install the patch, will i be able to play PR at all?

What you heard is incorrect. I've been playing the latest BF2 and latest PR on Windows 7 x64 for awhile. There's no need to worry, it'll work. I think what you might have heard is that BF2 did not work with the 1.41 patch on windows 7, while 1.5 was partially created to fix that, I think.
