[Solved] I cannot connect to mumble, it says remote host closed the connection?

Does anyone know why all of a sudden I can longer connect to mumble? It was ok last weekend and now it says: "connection failed The remote host closed the connection." an help would be appreciated. Thankyou!!

question: Have you altered your router settings or updated your router firmware? does your router have an autoupdate feature turned on? the QoS set to "enabled" can sometimes cause this.

1st thought: Try to change your nickname when you log in to PRmumble. It might just work.

2nd thought: this can also be caused by having multiple instances of mumble connecting to the same server.
Albeit it's probably fairly rare not to discover this immediately... check your task manager to see if you have multiple PRmumble.exe instances running. IF you do not use other versions of mumble for other games, To prevent this in the future, go to your desktop PRmumble shortcut and edit it... remove the -m switch. -m allows for multiple instances of Mumble to run simultaneously.

3rd thought: Are you or were you a certified Server Administrator with an certificate from the PR Devs? If so, respond and I'll send you to the right person to update your certificate.

4th thought: Your firewall/anti-virus/anti-malware software can block PRmumble. Please check to see if you can give PRmumble.exe an exception , or even turn off your firewall/anti-virus, and test to see if you can connect to the server.
Question: Has your firewall/anti-virus/anti-malware software been automatically or manually updated and/or altered in the last week?

Apparently there were some server issues during this time.
They are fixed now and you should be able to connect again.

PRMumble server ususally has very high trafic during weekends, when peak game hours are.

Sometimes it can just timeout, and sometimes you wont be able to connect at all. This is not something our tech support team can help you with, but we can notify you when such things occur. I'm going to lock this, and advise anyone having similar issue to PM R-DEV BloodyDeed or us the tech support.

Sometimes its best to just wait a few minutes and it might work, rather than posting on forums.
