Haven't played PR in years. What do I need to know?

I use to play PR casually a few years ago, but then moved on to other things as time passed.

I have the Steam version of BF2. Will that hinder my ability to play in any way?

How many people are still playing this? Last time I played (around three years ago), there were 1,000 players at peak periods.

Any good East Coast servers (in the United States?)

At any rate, I am downloading the mod as we speak, hope to see some of you ladies and gentlemen on the battlefield soon.

Hi and welcome back.

First remind yourself by reading the manual and play a bit in offline mode or on online coop servers. Then get new PR Mumble 1.0 install it and read this tutorial to assist you in setting it up. If you're running Vista or Win7 make sure you run all of it as admin.

Since you have a Steam version of BF2 make sure its properly updated to 1.5 and read this sticky since there is issue currently with Steam copies which can be easily fixed.

Fire up PRMumble 1.0, register your username, and then start PR, and enjoy.

There is new map pack available for download so make sure you get that too here.

Go trough PR news and highlights section since there's been a lot of change since last time you played.

If you bump to any problems while doing it and need technical assistance make a post in PR:BF2 support sectionof forums.

As for servers you can use PRSPY to aid you in that. Ie. I think ]CIA[ servers are East coast ( not sure ), also there is TG, and EU 128 project server SISU which should be online 2 days per week, other EU based NEW, PRTA, NWA, etc..

Do you remember what the last version you played was? If you're playing expecting something like .4 or .5, you're going to need to read the manual and forget you ever played PR.
