How long will it take? 90 minutes
Requirements? A legal and working copy of Battlefield 2, Project Reality and PR Mumble 1.0 already installed (remember to run both as Administrator).Teamspeak 3 is also needed.
Do I need to sign up? Yes, all events require sign-up either at the PRTA site or at this thread at realitymod.com. For the new player training, drop-ins are also allowed!
Additional info: Join the PRTA EU 03 Training Server and the [url=ts3server://ts.prta.co?port=9987&nickname=PRTA%20WebConnect&channel=WebConnect%20Jail]PRTA Teamspeak server[/url] before the event starts. Password for the game server is 'training'. Join the 'New Player' squad once you're in. We will later in the training move to a public server.
What will I learn?
You will learn the very basics of Project Reality as well an introduction on some common infantry tactics.
1. How to set up the game, basic controls, game mechanics
2. Weapon/kit training
3. Situational awareness and basic movement
4. Communication
5. Squad play and basic tactics
6. Basic Vehicle use (light vehicles and armour) + traveling in helicopters
