Project Normandy event

Hey guys, today is the event for Project Normandy. Each week the event takes place on Thursday with the 128 players server. The event kind of died because we changed it's date and not many people watch the events section I guess or Normandy forums for that matter :

So I just want to let you know that the event is still going on and a new version of PN should be released soon with paratroopers, new weapons, sounds, etc, and hopefully a new map I'm working on

So I hope to see you today on the server, I want PN to stay alive so people actually download the next version

No offense but I think this is a waste of the 128 server space to take up 1/4 of the days it can be up.

Project Normandy is a good project and it will be much more playable but as it is right now people have already had their helpings, and seconds. It's a good map but everyone has already done it and playing it for a whole day every week is just exhausting.
Other players tend to agree with me. Last week the Project Normandy server maxed out at about 19v19 players after hours of seeding - this is well beyond a seed threshold where you'd expect it to fill out quickly. The 64 player PRTA server actually filled before Project Normandy, even after I told them a few times on allchat that the 128 server was up. Additionally, those I've spoken to personally tend to feel that 128 is simply underdeveloped for full-scale implementation on the servers at this point.

I'm looking forward to the updates but right now it's forced and replacing valuable 128 time, which many players (including myself!) look forward to each week.

I hope the admins make a decision to push the 128 weekly event off until the mod is actually complete and can keep a 100+ server entertained for a few hours, as it is now it simply cannot.

I see your point slappy, I might take off this event entirely untill the next update is released. I agree that most of the players must be bored to play the same map wich always reveal with turning around the map trying to capture the flags back

looking forward to the new release, regarding map being over played than just look at mutrah 24/7, lol still cant get my head round it but the map has much more depth and options than normandy, something to thing about when making new map..
