You must run BF2 at least once prior to starting PR. Have you done this?

Add this to your shortcut target line '+menu 1 +fullscreen 0 +restart +szx 800 + szy 600' for both BF2 and PR.

It will run in windowed mode, so if you get any error take screenshot and post it here.

Also please post your PC specs and order of installation.

Its just the picture (dog tags) when you click on PR's shortcut and the error PR.exe has stopped working or something like that.

My Specs are:

Proccessor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6570 @ 2.10GHz (2 CPUs)

DirectX is 11

DO you have Net Framework 3.5 SP1 installed? Are you running BF2 and PR as admin?

Right click on shortcut and select Run as administrator.

Alternatively you can set it to run always as admin by right clicking shortcut and ticking box Run this program as administrator.

These are the only options i see when i click on the shortcut:
Open
Open File Location (website)
Send
Open previous versions
Cut
Copy
Create Shortcut
Delete
Rename
Properties
But no run as Administrator

and when i click on properties theres no compatibility tab
also im installed through Desura

I restarted the computer, launched Desura as admin, the game runs but this error comes up:

Failed to load Effect: StaticMesh.fx

StaticMesh.fx(2): error X1507: failed to open source file:
'mods/xpack/shaders/datatypes.fx'

I think i need to delete the file then verify files in Desura so it installs that file again?

Make sure youre game is updated to 1.5 check that first, then check your shortcut it might have been set wrong.

Check your Battlefield 2/mods subfolders and see if you have folder named xpack

Also your Win7 account that you use must have full admin rights.
