New member: Mumble Question (Wrong place for this thread?)

Post by mr.cheese05 »

Hello all

First of all it is a pleasure to have such a great mod, thanks to all involved!!! I have only been playing PR for a few days, but have been watching youtube videos of it for about a year now, and finally decided to DL it. I can already say it is one of, if not the best games I have ever played :-D

Moving on, the question...

I can only get 'local speech' to work in mumble while in game (talking to those near you), but cannot for the life of me figure out why I can't get 'squad speech' to work. I am running as admin. It says in the setup wizard the defualt key is numlock 0, but that gets no response in game.

I went into settings and and under shortcuts found 'local speech' then binded a key to it. But I fail to see anything like squad speech for an option of what kind of shortcut you want to have.
Is that also where I am supposed to bind a NEW key for my squad speech??

Thanks
mr.cheese

Hi - and welcome to the forums and the Mod :)

Moving to support.

ETA: there is a FAQ here which might answer your question.

Also - this might be useful too..

Other than that.. I'm sure somebody more technically gifted will be along shortly :)

I thnk this might be what I am looking for, I will try this and report back!

"if you delete, create or rearrange the shortcut keys in this Beta release you will have no choice but to uninstall and reinstall PRMumble.
Uninstall PRMumble in Control Panel.
Start command prompt and type "%appdata%" in it (without quotes) and press Enter. It should open YourUsername>AppData>Roaming directory. Then you can delete the complete Mumble(PR Edition) folder.
Reinstall PRMumble and default shortcuts should work."

Thanks for quick reply!
