Found One!
So, I was thinking on making a custom build, but I found a computer that I think that will run BF2 PR & ArmA II PR, for only 389?
I was thinking on buying it, and slowly upgrade it, but I wanted to be sure, and so, I wanted to see what you have to say...
I have never heard about this brand (Lenovo), but people posted on other forums that the computer wasn?t bad at all. Story goes that it?s a new brand of computers, and is making some sucess... I don?t know...
Well, here goes the Specs: LENOVO H330 (English Version)
Processor - Core i3-2120 3,3 GHz
Memory Cache - 3 MB
OS - Windows? 7 Home Basic Premium 64 bit
RAM - 4 GB DDR3
Graphics Card - Intel HD Graphics 2000
Hard Drive - 500 GB
Modem/Ethernet - Interface Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbps
Software Included - Google Bar and Chrome
- Kaspersky Internet Security 2012
- KNOWHow APP Center
- KNOWHow Movies
- Times Online
- eMusic
- LVT
- Lenovo Rescue System
- Lenovo Eye Distance System
- Lenovo Dynamic Brightness System
- power2Go
- Power Setting
- IE9.0
- MS Office 2010 Starter
- Screen saver
- Lenovo EE Boot Optimizer
- MS Live Essential
Based on your comments, I will decide if I?m going to buy it or not...
Keep in mind that I WILL slowly upgrade it...
Thank you for your time, Gaspar212

The graphics card was the first thing that I thought to change...
But it is a decent computer right?

Re: Found One!
First of all is that used PC or brand new? I found new on Lenovo for $449, so if thats price for used not a good deal.
Essential desktops - H Series - H330
Second thing is graphic card, yes its weak but you said you will upgrade it. Fine but that takes us to point three.
Small form factor. So space inside case is not much comfortable and power supply is probably weak to support any serious gaming graphics. If PSU is unique you might have trouble with it being custom so you might need to change case too. And not only PSU but the space inside - will it fit gpu you planning to use?
Edit: http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0365867 see specs = 180W PSU and also this one = http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000 ... d-p/595373

This is a brand new computer that I found, and its on sale. Before it was 519? but now its on sale, and cost 130? less, that making 389?
I didn?t really looked at the case dimensions, thank you for bringing that up...
If I buy the PC, can I change the case but keep all the components?

Build a PC from scratch. There should be retailers in your area that can do the actual building and testing of the computer. You will get a better machine for less money than any other prebuilt OEM machines, lenovo or not.

That is currently not possible...Lajning wrote:Build a PC from scratch. There should be retailers in your area that can do the actual building and testing of the computer. You will get a better machine for less money than any other prebuilt OEM machines, lenovo or not.
I made the maths, and the minimum that i would have to spend is 500?. (without software)
Buying this computer and then, slowly upgrade it, will take me less money and time...

Re: Found One!
Gaspar,
I like your idea,
here is what you need to know:
1. You will need to buy a video card (GPU) and a power supply unit (PSU).
2. You will need to buy/find a larger case for your PC. It doesn't need to be pretty, it just needs to fit a standard sized Pcie x16 GPU and a ATX size PSU. With a bit of work you should be able to find one for cheap, or maybe even free.
while you put some money aside to save for those parts, the LENOVO H330 is a very nice home and home office PC and you will get good use out of it.

Re: Found One!
So, buy this Lenovo H330 and then upgrade it is better than the other ideia of a custom build from scratch, like i told you on the other post...
I think that i will be able to save money, and time...
I wont be able to play ArmA II, but i will be able to play BF2 PR right?
BF2 PR is currently the only game i care about...
Thank you all, and specially, thank your Litoralis for you support...

Re: Found One!
If all you care to play is PR, then you are right. It is better for you to buy this computer and buy a graphics card than to build from scratch. You will be able to run everything on max no doubt with the lenovo.
As for graphics cards, I recommend the Nvidia GTX 460. It is very cheap (less than $100 USD) and has THE BEST price/performance ratio. The Radeon 6850 and 6870 are more pricey alternatives.

If you do enough searching in Libson, you can find my ASUS G53SX that got stolen while I was on liberty call there. Agree with Q2M100 on the GTX 460. It has some awesome performance for the price.

Re: Found One!
With this final statement, i have decided...
I?m going foward and Ill buy the Lenovo, and later on, i will upgrade it...
And yeh, right run, the only game i care about is BF2 PR, because, lets be honest, there isnt any other video game, more realistic than this one... AND THIS IS JUST A MOD! I think that the developers should invest on making a GAME based on the PR concepts, and make it avaiable to PC, PS3, and XBox 360...
Thank you for everything, Gaspar212
