Yes, you need BF2 for it. If your referring where to get it, Steam and I also believe Origin has it. The mod can be downloaded of the main site : Project Reality: Realistic Gaming Redefined

If you're thinking of an illegal copy of the game, then no. You must have a legit version of Battlefield 2 in order to play Project Reality.

Ofcourse, if a friend of yours has BF2 that he doesnt need anymore, you can ask him. You need original serial number to paly PR, the game can be obtained in any way, point is in the serial.
