Any way, after being AWOL :o ops: picked up my old hobby.

And here by i am showing the first WIP picks of the AC 130 "Spooky" Gun ship, of my new project after the great CH-47F Chinook :mrgreen: . Al tough it will properly never make it in to PR, if the model is there, step 1 is done, i assume :mrgreen:

Welcome back Ice_Killer, its been a long time. The AC-130 is just not something that is going to go in, make something we can use, the comfacs always need modelers :)

If you are doing it for a personal project then good luck and we can most certainly give you constructive advice, but I do not see it making it into PR...

Nah that discussion has been up many times, anything larger than a Chinook has a small chance of getting into actual PR

I guess, Although we already have what I think is a globemaster from Bf2:SF. If this is intended to be a static it needs a lot more attention.

Its funny how everyone goes off to make the "cool" AC-130, which is damn right useless, when a standard C-130 is actually something we could use...

Rhino i can pull of the guns and make It pretty fast a c130


It sure can be used as a static.

A small time ago I suggested to AD to put a C-130 on the Ia Drang map, to give supplies on the battle, something about 3/4 crates per plane, when right click it makes spawn a parachuted crate (like vBF2 supply drop) instead of a normal crate, it need to be deployed at about 200-250 meters of altitude, same on Falklands please Rhino, if you do this I will love you forever <3

AD told me that if he get the C-130 he can think on put this... ... or no...

:) i could absolutely see that being a good static for any airfield in pr (if it fits the faction of course).... yes like you were saying before remove the guns. It would be interesting when the final stages of the model are complete if the props were staggered a bit and if you have any experience with interiors have an open bay door? well done overall sofar. Do you you have other ideas for statics that you could build for PR?

yeah man, make something that'll actually go in the game.

Like, the hind for example. The hind is about 100 times cooler than the AC-130, and it could be put on 100 different maps too. It would basically be the CAS huey on some serious anabolics. Were talking more health, passenger seats, nose gun, 100+ rockets, and a turret. Not ATGM + AAM combo the current helos have, but that fearless, ruthless manual power the huey has.

Make it for COOP as suggested. Like in BF3:AK the AC-130 will be a mobile spawn point (on PR only for COOP ) and the guns can be used by a player that spawn in it.

If you want an AC-130 for personal SP use you can just use the DCON AC-130 and as long as you don't re-release it no one will mind, as many, many SP people already do that.
