Random Freezing

Description:
When doing any activity in PR i seem to randomly experience freezing issues. The game screen will freeze solid for about 1 to 2 seconds, the sound is fine and continues to work while the video is frozen. And then it randomly just starts working again. This is a recent problem which i didn't have when i use to play this game a few years ago. It pretty much keeps me from attempting any kind of flying because i just end up crashed into something every time i try.

It has no discernible pattern it just kind of freezes up every 15 mins for a 1-2 seconds. Some times it lasts long enough that it will say Connection Lost after the game resumes from the freeze.

I searched the forum and FAQ and didn't find anything that could fix it.

Steps to Reproduce:
Play the game.

Screenshots / Video:
Dont have one.

Tested On:
Any map, server, or game mode.

Video Settings (if needed):
Not sure if it is relevant but settings at high.

Audio Settings (if needed):
No sound freezing. Audio settings are on default.

m... i dont know if this would help you solving your problem, but i had the same, once i change my screen from a 14 inches screen to a 42 inches flat screen, my game started freezing to much, so i lowered all the setting to "low" and left my resolution to 1024 x 768. and it started working fine so far.. try that mate. I know its not much usefull but give it a try.

Sorry i forgot to mention the issue happens at any video setting. Even on all low it still freezes. Thanks for the response though chilean.

Could be punkbuster issue. use PunkBuster Online Countermeasures to update.
