No lights? Muzzle flashes?

Post by Pvt.LHeureux »

Hey I wondered why there is no muzzle flashes around you when you shoot in the night version, I remember vBF2 having clear lightning effects when shooting in shadows and such.

Also it would be freaking great at night to see gun flashes at the distance and in firefights, same possible with explosions? Would make the players really LOVE the night layer.

In terms of realism, only weapons with blanks would have a flash. Weapons with live rounds fire smoke. Tho, it would be awesome to see a long range firefight.

You obviously haven't had much experience with the L1A1.

Well I have. It has a hell of a muzzle flash - even with the flash suppressor.

it can be done, but I doubt it can happen in 973 due to the numbers of new effects being loaded. perhaps in the next version.

Ye this is something we are planning to look into for the next version but wasn't able to get it done for this.
