Check if you have a specular map or not, and if you do, check if the spec is not completely white. That might be the cause.

your detail texture first of all needs to be a .dds, your textures should be located in the mod, not randomly on your hard drive and the alpha channel of your detail texture is the spec map.
You also shouldn't be making custom textures for a static object unless its 100% necessary, with for asfalt there are plenty of textures for that in BF2/PR so don't think you really need to.
