[Help!] HUD Stuff

Hey. I found HUD or should I say UI in BF2 quite interesting. I'd like to know, how exactly does it work, in few notes.

I'm working on one mini-mod and I am currently editing aircrafts and I would like it to print "MISSILE WARNING" so the text blinks in specific part of screen as long as aircraft is locked.

So how will the text know where to be located, what colour, what size and WHEN to be printed, and can it be done trough BFEditor - if so - how?
