Beirut

Post by kangaroo »

So we where playing on the layout with the Israeli namers and Russian btrs and a awkard truth emerged. Head to head these apcs cannot kill eachother, Although russia will lose as their more powerful apcs on the map can be killed with 1 LAT shot and the isreali one is almost immune to LATs. Russia needs more powerful apcs like a BMP for this map to help balance it. Until them I guess I will use mortars to defeat their apcs.

Russia have the Mi-28 on this map, no need to put a BMP.

The Havoc is only on the Alt layer of the map, which also has the Merkava.

According to a screen in a media release a bit after 0.95 came out which showed the BMP-2s, one was in Beirut, so it might indeed make it there.

Edit: Here.

never really seen the merkava ever go to work on beirut, because it has no where to hide at all in a small map against a havoc, any competency on the russian side and the thing should be dead.

A hind armed with cannons and rockets only is perfect for the map because it wouldnt shit all over the merkava making it useless, and it would probably be more durable than the havoc too, being more readily willing to give CAS. Hind's fast too.

I'm pretty sure that a BMP will just make the map even less balanced. If so then on every game on this map the tank will be down by either the havoc or the BMP or a HAT and there will be nothing that the IDF can do since the Namers only use a .50 cal in PR, and for some reason the devs made the israeli HAT extremely inaccurate.

And Russian one is pin-point-accurate in comparison? No.

Balanced. :D

If you know how to use the iron sight Russian HAT you can literally hit whatever you want. Its pretty basic point and shoot. Scoped Russian hat is awful though.

With the IDF HAT, even if the deviation is centered, it can go like 20 - 40 meters off target. DEV's need to fix this.

I'm sure there will be other changes for the map too.

This, played Beirut on CIA. Both APCs literally wasted all it's ammo on eachother and nothing happened, not even a dent.

Well they should have known beforehand that .50 cal cannot damage a BTR-80 and 14.5mm cannot damage a Namer.
