Poll: Battlefield game(s) before PR

Post by DDS »

I've been playing PR since .4 and remember that about 1/2 the players had played the original Battlefield 2 game (vanilla) as my self. With more players added over the years I'm curious what the numbers are in the community now.

Could we poll this moderators?

Question: Which Battlefield game(s) have you played before you started playing the Project Reality mod?

Played Battlefield 2

Played Battlefield 3

Played Both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 3

Played neither Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 3

Yup, been playing BF2 since 2006 via the demo for a week, bought it and played vanilla for 2 years until I found out about mods (the first being Sandbox).

I also pre-ordered BF3 but found it a massive let down compared to what BF2 can do.

I played BF2 from 2006 and I played PR in the summer of 2007, not really sure which year it was, and I started to play it a lot from .85 just weeks before the .86 release. And sometimes I play BF3 for some fun and graphic whoring.

Had BF1942 back in the day. Played vanilla BF2 for a while, then got into FH2 and a friend introduced me to PR. I bought BF3 and still play it with RL friends from time to time.

But mostly I stuck to Swat 4 and Call of Duty 4

I preorderd Battlefield 2, waited in line. And installed it on the 22nd or 23rd or smt.

Played it for some time, but was shitty game.

Then I found PR in 0.6

Began playing BF2 in ~2008, first played PR in ~2009 (v.87), uninstalled it thing as I hated it, gave it another try (v.91) in 2010 and have played since.

Never played BF3 but intend to get it once the Premium Edition drops below $30.

I bought BF2 specifically to play PR, which was a week before 0.83 was released, so i downloaded 0.75 for a week and then got 0.8, and then i found out the guy i was living with in my last year in uni 'forgot' to pay the internet bill i was forking out for, so i went off the radar for a year, playing SP mostly, and now i'm back home i've sussed out my crappy internet connection so i'm online at some point most weeks. But I've played BF3 on PS3 recently and thought it was pretty decent for the most part!

I still have my BF1942 BF:V and BF2 boxes with manuals and all. I played all of the BF series up, and have owned all of them safe for BF3.

PR doesn't even feel much like a Battlefield game anymore, it has gone much further then even BF3 has. Thank you R-Devs and company.

Played BF2 since the open beta. Then tested PR 0.1, and after a brake, I started again with 0.4. Since this version I'm totally caught by PR!
