Hello,
I would like to ask if it is possible to install BF2 from old media like CD/DVD/Image with the serial obtained from Origin.
The download of the game from origin takes ages, and I already have a nice torrent that has the 1.5 patch inside (Note: no crack, just a updated installed for BF2).
One thing I find disturbing is the fact that the installer could ask for two keys - in fact, so says the readme file: A BF2 serial and a BF2 Special Forces serial are needed. See also here.
Is my single serial key code that Origin has sent me in an email enough to install both?
Cheers!

You don't need to install BF2 Special Forces.
I am not certain, but I am going to say this probably will not work. There are different versions of BF2, and the serials only work on the specific version they are created for, usually.
But if you already have the 1.5 updated installer, why not just try it?

Hi,
thanks for the swift reply!
As such, I prefer to get some information on that first. I got the installer from this torrent.
I would probably advise myself to simply install the Origin version and not bother.. and this might the best option to go. And while the download proceeds extra slowly, I might just paint some walls on my apartment..
Unless someone tells me that it is indeed a great idea to use the torrent install package. (:

I am afraid that a failed installation might give me some wrong key entry in the registry, which might lead to some oh so funny problems with installing the game properly. I remember having a great time two years ago getting the game properly installed. I had to use serial removal tools, re-installing the horrific 1.5. patch - all in all it was not very pleasant.[R-COM]LITOralis.nMd wrote: But if you already have the 1.5 updated installer, why not just try it?
