I just have a small issue when it comes to running PR with Mumble overlay enabled, I just get a black screen the second the game starts up but with Mumble overlay disabled, PR runs perfectly. I've installed the PR: BF2 client and Mumble correctly, fully updated, and I run both of them as an administrator. If anyone has an idea on what might be causing this, I'm all eyes and ears.
I'm sorry if this topic had already been discussed in an earlier thread, I'm kind of new to PR and the community, this is not the first time I've heard of it but it's my first time giving the game a try. I played BF2 and BF2142 back in the day, I don't know why I skipped on PR.

Re: PR Crashes With Mumble Overlay Enabled
Welcome to the forums Ian,
We need your system specs ,
specifically, what OS ? PRMumble overlay does NOT work on Windows8 as of now due to the idiots at Microsoft who failed to properly implement directx9 dll libraries.
A quick way to test the overlay is to start PRMumble, go to configure->overlay-> and drag the red dot handle to position the overlay in the center of the screen. A bug that has similar result as yours occurs when your PRMumble overlay is "off the monitor",
You can also try to download one of the community PRmumble overlays, located at the bottom of the first post in this thread, https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... ricks.html , (unzip) and save to a convenient place, then load the overlay in the PRMumble configuration->overlay tab. This lin is also our FAQ for PRMumble, though you seem to be up to speed except for thi bug your experiencing.
Let us know if any of this helps or not,

I have tested the overlay with it being positioned in the center of the screen, still had the same result with a black screen. I'm about to give those community overlays a shot.

Re: PR Crashes With Mumble Overlay Enabled
I have the same issue. Community overlays did nothing. I've yet to try vanilla mumble's overlay, not sure if that'd be any different. I can usually get the game to start up for about 2-5 seconds in the menu and it then crashes without fail.
Disabling PRmumble's overlay instantly fixes the issue. Quite a brain-teaser.

Ian, give us your PC specs so we can see if anything sticks out as a potential conflict.
Also keep in mind that some other overlay programs do not play nice with PRmumble, most specifically MSI Afterburner, but a few others as well. If you use any other overlay programs, let us know.

Re: PR Crashes With Mumble Overlay Enabled
Some points,
if you have PR running through Steam, you must disable Steam overlay.
You might want to try adding -nod3d9ex to the end of your PRMumble.com shortcut. Note that this might lower FPS...

Open PRMumble, connect, , go to Configure->Overlay->Whitelist->Click ADD button on bottom right...
Add:
battlefield2\bf2.exe
battlefield2\mods\pr\pr.exe
battlefield2\mods\pr\tr.exe
Click Apply.

Re: PR Crashes With Mumble Overlay Enabled
This method got rid of the black screen, PR did not crash but when I got to the login screen I got a message that said "There was an error creating a socket". At the same time, I checked the Mumble log, it said that "Battlefield 2 lost link".'[R-COM wrote:LITOralis.nMd;1855103']Some points,

Re: PR Crashes With Mumble Overlay Enabled
Just tried running PR with Mumble overlay again, the black screen came back and the game crashed. This is after I put -nod3d9ex in the Mumble target and whitelisted those exe. files.
