TrackIR 5 causes crash

Post by soulshaper2 »

Hey so not sure where to post it so posting it here:

After buying Trackir 5 and using it with a variety of games i've noticed it casues BF2 to crash on launch (this combined with screen resolution took me a week to find the problem)

just thought i should mention that the software that the trackir 5 uses leaded to bf2 and PR cashing when you launch =)

Does BF2 engine support Trackir?

Been like that forever(?), I've never heard of a fix.

Here's a big 'ol thread about trackir.
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f10-pr ... ackir.html

just general discussion about it since it does not work with bf2.
I think there is some other software that works, or a dev/forum goer made something that sorta works?
Best line yet...

Bf2 free look combined with facetracknoir works but you can only use a webcam and it takes a while to set up the way you want. It used to be that you could use your track ir with freetrack which is the module for bf2 freelook but trackir wtold them to stop and take that compatibility down. So the way to do it is to find old versions of software and drivers which I didn't want to do. I tried using mouse emulation mode on trackir with the mouselook in bf2 free look bit it crashed. Thinking about it now it might work in windowed mode but I don't have it with me so idk.
