Second times a charm

Since reinstalling BF2 and PR I always get the "Connection to server lost" message the first time I try to join any server. It always works flawlessly the second time though.

I can even join a different server after getting the error, so when a server is full I join an empty one and then auto connect so it doesn't error out when a spot opens up.

I'd rather just fix the problem and not have to worry about it. Thanks for any help.
