Re: PR bedtime
Ya it seems CIA was having a hard time yesterday evening, after the 2nd crash I feel a few players (myself included) realized it was getting late and as such didn't return.

Yeah, a crash or Kashan will usually wreck CIA for some reason lolMurphy wrote:Ya it seems CIA was having a hard time yesterday evening, after the 2nd crash I feel a few players (myself included) realized it was getting late and as such didn't return.

Re: PR bedtime
I've left PR recently, not in a falling out way, just that I've been enjoying a DayZ server. However, I've hopped in once or twice during my absence only to be faced with a rubbish gaming experience, mainly due to teams without squad leaders.
Then last night (3AM BST) I decided to dedicate my pre-bedtime gaming time to PR, but could I join a server? No! Two servers were full and all the others were near empty; I auto deployed on one of them only to be beaten to the newly available free slot on several occasions, which is fair enough. But what did piss me off was on at least two occasions of being in the auto-join queue, I connected only to be kicked a split second later. I could tell I connected because a brief flash of the loading screen was apparent. At the time I suspected server admins fixing it for mates to get the the newly available slot, and to be honest I still think that's the case.
Half an hour of queuing is enough to turn anyone away IMO, it turned me away as I went on DayZ instead. I think a fairer queuing system is needed for the v1 update, that's if the game doesn't die before the Devs release the bloody thing.

You don't need to wait in the queue if you help seed the server and get reserved slot.

I agree, if the players know how many other players are in queue or could communicate with them, it could lead to them just populating a new server.Rapid12 wrote:I've left PR recently, not in a falling out way, just that I've been enjoying a DayZ server. As far as I know, you cannot get kicked while loading until you enter the game. Must have been a problem with your client.Rapid12 wrote: I connected only to be kicked a split second later. its the infamous "Connection has been lost" thing that happens while joining a server for the first time when launching PR.

If there are two full servers it's the moment to seed another.
Problem is without an admin or maplist that work when seeding it needs much work.

Most server problems have been fixed according to the community-decrypting the encrypted changelogs.CroCop wrote:its the infamous "Connection has been lost" thing that happens while joining a server for the first time when launching PR.
It's not only a PR issue, but a Battlefield 2 issue as well.

Embarrassing enough, my problem must've been the bug and not dodgy admins, lol.

Sadly with a game that isnt the domain of the unemployed, pimpled puberscents and to some degree is a thinking mans game chances are high some of us are employed or use the faculties that enable us to wade through PR in some other ways.
In other words, try weekends and fridays : ) .

There is nearly always a full or nearly full server in the US or EU somewhere I've found.
