Increase healing time
Hello.
"Picking up" by a combat medic in PR is bit too fast imo. I play most as a medic and it takes from 5-7 sec to heal deadly wounded soldier. Its a bit unrealistic, and should be fixed. For example, your sq thrown nades into TShape or other building, Cas wiped it out, but until you reach the top floor, enemy will be up, and ready for your strike. I think that healing with medicbag should take 4-5 secs longer. It would improve teamwork a bit. Moreover it would make infantry life more valuable.
Cheers Takeda.

Re: Incrase healing time.
I'll give you a chance at this, but next time, please only make one suggestion about the same topic.

What? Did I miss the real life practice of magic? It's fine as it is. Don't want to it become too easy.

maybe reread it, he is suggesting that healing should take longer to make it harder.WeeD-KilleR wrote:>5-7 sec to heal deadly wounded soldier

i like that idea!
make reviving and healing process a bit longer... and people will think twice if they risk their lifes... - more realistic

I think it will be good, i get tired of seeing lone rangers moving ahead of their squad so they can get all the kills. make more people think twice about risking their lives.Blackburn92xBHD wrote:i like that idea!

Re: Increase healing time
I play medic myself 90% of the time and yeah healing is too fast. But i think it should not be the medic alone who suffer from this. Why not give the revived soldier some kind of malus for being shortly revived?
Making the reviving process longer is not a good idea i think, you cant drag bodies and if you cant that there is no need for making the process itself longer. And its bugged often and takes long enough to get people up who stuck in walls, fences hills or a simply not synced with your client.

It was only sample, i like malus idea too. Mayby dev's know more ways of making it a bit longer. Bug's are not so often, many times field is enough to "unstuck" blocked body.ghostfool84 wrote:I play medic myself 90% of the time and yeah healing is too fast. Re: Increase healing time
Hi,
I think its a great idea - I often see that medic is healing 2-3 guys at the same time whitch mean that this sq is almost operational, at least +3 guns is more than only one[medics].
I guess takeda didn't mean that putting epipen should last longer but healing with medbag.

You might be right ghost. If not to slow healing time of bag than maybe "bleeding blur" or "black and white" should last few secounds longer?ghostfool84 wrote:I play medic myself 90% of the time and yeah healing is too fast. Re: Increase healing time
i actully also think healing is way to fast just as you said....your'e squad or you and other people wipe 2 whole squads except the medic, he smokes, you don't notice he's up and BAM!! in no time your getting heavily suprresed by at least one full squad which is really annoying at times and unrealistic...looking forward for these suggestion.

Re: Increase healing time
a squad v squad fight is 80% over in the first 30 seconds. one squad is either knocked out or it leaves 1-3 men on either side waiting on the other to mess up. that's when the rest of the fight plays out, while you're a) defending your little sector b) searching for the medkit or c) flanking to catch their medic and keep the pressure up and off your own squad.
adding time to the medic's job isn't going to improve gameplay. i don't know that simply increasing the healing time is going to change the firefight fundamentally. you might prevent one more revive in that extended period, but the fight is still playing out- simply with one less player, in both your squad and theirs.
a penalty to someone who was recently revived does make sense. that's where to make a change to the medic system that will effect overall squadplay. for someone recently wounded, for example, stamina is capped at 50% for a few minutes. that changes how a fight will play out dramatically, giving the squad with the fewest revives the most mobility on the field.

I support this.
Slaps face of those who believe medic should get inferior gun due to medic having hands full healing people instead of shooting people.

Another thought, when I play medic, I rarely have to resuscitate an injured player. I just stick him with the epi and bam, they're revived. If we could make it where we HAVE to resuscitate every time that would increase the overall time for getting up the wounded, and make it more difficult.

Well because of the BF2 engine it does not NEED to be part of the process. It was put in to get players unstuck in weird terrain to revive them.frydad5656 wrote:Another thought, when I play medic, I rarely have to resuscitate an injured player. But yes heal time is way too quick. would like to see it slowed down a bit.

Damn
And i am all in for adding few sec. to healing.

Re: Increase healing time
Me too. I think adding 4 or 5 secs to the healing time from dead to full health wld be a good thing...and easy to code?
