My Map Feedback TEMPLATE.

Post by MeKillHatch »

May I suggest this template for map related feedback?
One could use this template for standardizing opening remarks about maps with the intention of making it easier to get an overview of the intended meaning of the feedback.

MAP FEEDBACK TEMPLATE
Usage: Replace the square brackets and the text contained in them with suitable descriptions.

MAP NAME: [Write Map Name Here]

LAYER: [If the feedback is layer (think game mode) specific, please write either: Standard, Alternative or Skirmish. If the feedback is layer independent, write: Non-specific]

FEEDBACK: [Consider your feedback, think of the important points you want to get across to the development team and try to condense them down to the most important bits. When you write your opinions, be sure to elaborate (briefly) on why you hold them. For example, instead of writing "China tanks sux on map X" you could elaborate: "Playing Chinese armor crew feels unfair since Russian armor not only has a shorter path to the objectives but also a height advantage when they get there. (OBS: That was just an example, I don't know of such unbalance's existence)"]

:!: If you have feedback for two or more specific layers, copy the template and post the other layer's feedback under the previous. If you have map feedback that is not related to layer, write "Non-specific" next to "LAYER: " in the template.

:!: Please note that the template should not be used for discussion of map design but as a template for opening remarks about a map.

:!: I realize that each map has its own thread and that some might think that MAP NAME: is purposeless but trust me, it adds the the overview when switching between threads.
