Display map layout ingame
PROBLEM: Players keep asking, about the layout they are playing (in chat/mumble)
SUGGESTION: Create layout, to give players extended information about map they are playing so they are able to see it at any time (by opening map-screen with CAPS LOCK for example).
EXAMPLE: [srv-icon] PR Official Test Server - US | [map-icon] Black Gold | [layout-icon] AAS - Infantry | [maxplayers-icon] 100
And place it top of the map screen (left of the tickets counter)

Re: Display map layout ingame
I really like the idea, i dont know how often i go back to the server browser and click on server info to know what for a layer is actually running. On these days i often hear "On what server we are?" - "oh i think eu #4 or 3...that one with ramiel" PR Spy helps for sure, but a solution easy to access ingame would be nice.

Re: Display map layout ingame
Maybe on score page or squad screen to keep the main screen as uncluttered as possible?

How about adding a label to the main base flag names? (Std, Alt, Inf, Lrg). AAS/Insurgency/etc. is usually pretty obvious based on flag layout/lack thereof.

That's probably the easist - and most efficient solution.[R-DEV]Jafar Ironclad wrote:How about adding a label to the main base flag names? (Std, Alt, Inf, Lrg). AAS/Insurgency/etc. is usually pretty obvious based on flag layout/lack thereof.

Re: Display map layout ingame
This would still be quite alot of work to implement for all maps in that method
what would be better imo is a command for AD's framework
something like !map !server !layer or !mode
'Currently Running Black Gold on Alternative on PR Beta official Test server EU#2" maybe even include the IP

Yes. !map for err map, layer and mode (AAS or INS) with !server for server name?

Re: Display map layout ingame
Can we get a command line that shows us the assets? Not everyone plays enough PR in a week to remember what assets there are on certain maps.
It sounds stupid, but sometimes I forget to look at them in the loading screen so I'm not sure wether creating an LAV squad has a reason

!showmap sounds nice. Sounds like !shownext, except it's for the current map
.
