After the beta on the 7th...

Ok so I have a few questions about what happens after the open beta is closed...

1) Will the open beta be "locked" closed after the 7th?

2) For people on limited data 3G/4G plans, will we have to download it all _again_ once the finished version of 1.0 is released? This would cost me hundreds of dollars or I would have to wait approximately a month for my data plan to renew. Yay for greedy ISP's!

I'm sure I'm not the only one that plays PR and is in a similar position with 3G/4G internet! Thanks in advance

How much are you paying a month for internet? I live in Alberta as well and my monthly limit is something like 250GB, but I only pay around $50 a month. Also, if you download the beta, you will be downloading less files when the full version in released, due to the addition of the standalone PR updater.

You could also go to a nearby internet cafe or restaurant, and stay there till your download finishes.

I think you will have to download it all over again smgunsftw. @ OP, there will probably a month-ish gap between this and full release, so you shouldnt have a problem. If you want to be save, try not to download big files you dont really need and you should be fine even if they release in before the month is over (which, again, they probably wont).

You won't be able to turn the beta into the full release, sorry you have to download it again

If you're quota is tight another option is to seek somebody on the forums willing to snail mail you a couple of discs with the iso on them upon release.
