I'm talking about instantly teleporting inside and outside of vechicles, or seats/placements.
instantly jumping out of tanks as they get rpg'd and then being able to get your gun out before his and shoot him. simply hopping in and out of a bullet proof humvee to shoot them with realitive immunity, or switching seats to matrix dodge bullets.
These are things that have got on my tits in multiplayer shooters for years, even ones which don't try and be realistic. so how has this managed to avoid any attention in project reality?
even ignoring the obvious abuses, surely this should be fixed simply for realism sakes.
PS: since ive made my own whine thread, what is the bloody point of a bayonet if you cannot fire with it attached?! are these 17th century plug bayonets?

Yes they are, but they got mistextured when they first got added, and the DEVs are too busy to fix it now. However, if people keep whining against them, they might get re-textured sometime soon™Banok wrote:

Bf2 can't have weapons that fire different kinds of projectiles, so you either have the bayonet on all the time or only when in melee mode. Having them on all the time would be unrealistic, has obvious practical issues and also increases the performance impact of the weapon.
There isn't the capability of adding animations like you ask afaik.

to put it more simply, animations for entering/exiting are not possible in BF2, we have the "weapon warum times" on MGs etc to simulate someone climbing up onto the gun, then prepping it etc before being able to fire.
As for the Bayonets, in BF2 it isn't possible to have a handheld weapon fire two projectiles though right and left click, like a vehicle can. As such the Bayonets are mainly for show but they have a much grater reach than knifes so you can stab someone from further away
