new map - terrain patches disappear ingame

Post by Mineral »

Hi, I'm working on finishing a map of somebody else, tried to load it in for the first time but no success. Crash on 14% loading objects, tracked it down to UG/OG, but now it loads up but has a very weird terrain glitch. patches disappear, if you change angle other patches disappear too and so on.

In the editor it doesn't, but what I did notice is that when in overgrowth terrain render mode, the same thing happens, all patches are black unless I change them, then suddenly all OG color layers show up. And it also changes on what angle I'm looking at. All other maps load fine.

Any solutions or idea's? Haven't tried recompiling terrain. I'll try that now.

Thanks! That fixed it. I guess it's a 4k map problem?

Yes, there is even a fix for terrain morphing provided you level is smooth enough before hand that you can add it without killing gameplay.

yeah, know about that one from using debugger. First have to see after a gameplay test how it runs.
