Lag on start-up/menu/in-game

My personal computer died on me a few nights ago after my PSU overheated. While I'm waiting for a new one to come in, I've been using another computer with a C2D Q8400 @ 2.66 GHz and a shitty 8400 GS with 4gb of DDR2 RAM. I just installed BF2 and PR fine, but when I start up PR, the black sand studios and project reality splash screens lag really bad, as well as when I'm at the menu and in-game. I'm using win 7 32-bit. Is there anything I could do or is it just the shitty specs?
