Hey I know you guys have got a lot to do but, I was wondering if it is at all possible, For the mumble channels to have their own option for output.
At the moment my setup is, 5.1 surround sound for game sounds, and Headset with one earpiece and microphone for mumble and teamspeak, It would be great If I could changed the local channel so it's playing out of my 5.1, And have the rest playing through my headphones
Thanks

Re: Mumble in 1.0
this won't make 1.0.
But I'll let the Devs answer whether or not this might be an option in the future. I'd possibly be interested in using it.

It's a totally separate system so should be relatively simple. My guess is that the UI for configuring it would be the hardest part.

:L Wait that sounds a little too nerdy for my taste ... So having a room with a surround sound playing Everything but the voices and having squad talk in one ear and team speak in the other ear? :l Im sure its possible and like they said above you would need the proper hardware. but honestly As a squad leader It makes me EXTREMELY annoyed when someones talking over mumble and i hear their game in the background or i hear my voice through someone else's Local speech.. Running that sort of setup is way too COD and XBOX for my taste.

I agree on the background noise, it is really annoying and can destroy communication.

I can agree with the above statements. Hearing someone's game sound as they transmit their voice is very annoying. Instant immersion breaker.
I can understand people wanting to experience the game on their surround sound systems, but leave that to single player or co-op. A good headset is paramount for multiplayer play imo.
