Unable to switch between BUIS and scope when riding on VAB

When riding as a rear gunner on the French VAB, I noticed that it's impossible to switch between BUIS and scope. You can only do it by exiting the vehicle. In the vehicle, you can only stay on the mode that you were on before entering the vehicle.
