I Need Help Here (Ninja Uninstall)

I've been trying to install PR:BF2 for weeks.

All using Desura:

First, I download it and install it but I get an error and BF2 is on the wrong patch (I tried 2 times). So I patch BF2 to the 1.5 (I think) update. I re-install again and get an error about "item missing". I re-install again and I get "file missing or invalid". I delete Project Reality off Desura and re-download it. After installing again I am finally able to play PR, though occasionally it crashes to the desktop.

Then 1.0 comes along. I install the update and get another "item invalid" and "failed to verify", 2 failed installs. Please take note: each of these installs take 9 hours each, so do the math. I finally get 1.0 to work, and I install the new mini-patch and all goes well.

Except for the crashing to the desktop every 20 minutes, it's a success. But today (a few minutes ago) I was having some great fun playing with my buddies, it was an epic round of CO-OP Operation Archer, and suddenly I crash to desktop (the game exits completely except for Desura). But instead of being able to click Launch, it says Not Ready, with an Install button.

How does Project Reality uninstall itself?

I'm sure it's probably my fault or I pressed some wrong buttons, because it re-installed in only a few seconds, but I need to know what's been happening.
