So I decided I'd download Project Reality soon, and I figured I'd get back into vanilla BF2 to try to get ready for it, or at least try to get it working properly. Unfortunately I have no idea how.
For some reason not only can I not stay connected to any server for about five minutes, or longer if I'm lucky, before I'm disconnected, whenever I try to load up another server, or if I came into the server right at the end of a round and it changes maps, it stops loading suddenly, and the percentage loaded goes down some, so I have to force quit the game.
Would these problems persist in Project Reality, and if so, how can I fix them? If they wouldn't, would it still be possible to fix them?
Also, sorry if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to put this.

When you get disconnected, does it just say "Your connection to the server has been lost." or something else?
As for the map loading issue, I've never heard of that one.

Yeah, that's what it says when I get disconnected. I have a pretty good Wi-Fi connection, so I don't know why it does that. ...unless that's somehow the problem?

in PRLauncher, click the SUpport button, then the Copy to Clipboard, paste to this thread.
The crashing on map change sounds like your video settings are too high, or your PC is running out of RAM for PR to use.
