[Kits]SMAW

Post by sweedensniiperr »

Just a bit of thought because of my incident overlooked in this thread.

I guess the kit is fine but I think there is little or no indication when you are using the range finder? Furthermore I would like the range finder to be at the bottom of the anti-tank weapons.

Currently it is: 4. range finder 5. AT 6. multi.

I would like it to be 4. AT 5. multi 6. range finder

That is all.

I don't like that weapon, it is somewhat hard to aim... that's why I always grab the ALT version of this HAT

The dip is crazy on this weapon, played a round last night and the tanks were about 700 or so metres and the dip and deviation was just not good enough to handle the situation. The enemy tanks actually got bored of us shooting at them because every shot took so long to get there and were so off target we posed no threat to them.

SMAW supposedly has effective range of 500meters so.

IMHO, SMAW is kind of "exotic" weapon, but complicated to use and ineffective.

..that embarrassing moment, when you claim to be experienced enough to handle the SMAW even though, you've never fired it, have all the time to aim for a clean shot, only to see the projectile hitting the ground half way to the target. I know that feel Bro... ^^

This weapon reminds me of Panzerfaust 30 in FH2.

Just that in FH2 you can't even adjust the range so it's completely useless.

On topic: The ACOG makes it rather hard to aim with at a range, is this the real scope used or just a placeholder? Of course the backup sights are even worse.

It's one of two used.

Is it at all possible to make the spotting rifle useable alongside the rocket or is that hardcoded?

That would be nice, if you wouldn't have to switch weapons with all the animation and would just switch ammunition. That way, the spotting rifle would be useful

Why SMAW has 3 rounds(2 ap, 1 frag), but RU HAT has only 2? German HAT has only one round.
I think all HATs wint ballistics should have the same number of ammo.

I agree, giving the other unguided HATs more ammo wouldn't hurt.

Aren't the Russian and German HAT's supposed to be more effective than the SMAW against heavier armour?

Also due to the nature of the German HAT (where the launch tube and warhead are a single disposable package and only the sight and trigger mechanism is reused), carrying multiple rounds isn't as easy as it is with the RPG-7 and the SMAW. And the PzF 3 warheads apparently weigh at least twice as much as the RPG-7 tandem warheads.

The SRAW should be the primary HAT kit since the SMAW is only good for close engagement maps like Muttrah. The only plus side the SMAW has over the SRAW is ammo.
