Commander UAV spotting jets?

Using the UAV "q" comma rose to spot jets, I can see real-time jet/heli position markers on my map. Do other players see it as well? I am getting mixed responses from people I ask. Majority are saying no but a few yes? I myself have seen the jet markers as a non-SL, non-commander player. Is it because some are using "m" to bring the map up rather than "caps lock" map?

Same for me, I still do not know if they can see it or not. Some said yes and some said no.

i do see them both (choppers and jets) on my map when i use the commo rose to spot them, as a commander. it's very usefull !

We do see them as a commander ofc. The question was: do others see the marker aswell? Some say yes, some say no.

in .981 it was based on how close others were to where it was spotted from I think, you can spot it and if someone on your team is actually near it, they'll see it on the map I think, but if no one is nearby, no one is gonna see it, it just doesn't show up on the map

Yes, other people can also see the jet/heli on the map when the commander has spotted it.

If you're within 3 grids away approximately you can see it on the map

If you are within visual range, then you can see it on the map.
If you are the one spotting it, you will be able to see it on the map until it moves out of visual range or the spot thingy expires.
