Mumble numpad numbers beeping even though I'm not a squad leader

I turned on the audio cues in the mumble settings because they're awesome and noticed that when I'm a grunt the numpad buttons beep for me like I'm talking to another squad leader. The commander and all-squad buttons also beep.

Can this be fixed?

So you are actually pressing the numpad buttons, and as a grunt you think you shouldn't hear the beep sounds?

Or are you hearing the beeps when people from other squads are talking and you are not supposed to hear them?

Oh, I should've specified. I'm the only one that's pushing the buttons and hearing it. Other people's beeps aren't coming to me, its just on my side.

Yes, I believe that I shouldn't hear those sounds unless I'm a squad leader or Commander when I push 1-9, /, or *.

Yeah would be nice if it didn't register the key press if you are not an officer, but not that big of a deal. The beep will sound but you won't be actually transmitting to anyone.

You get the beeps and not the transmit icon? Or do you get both beep and transmit icon?

beep and transmit icon. but its like he said, nobody can hear my jokes when i do this as a grunt.
