Error linking to game process

For the past half hour I've been getting this message when I try to start the game (via the launcher). It closes the launcher, then after roughly 15 seconds, it comes up with this, and the game doesn't start.

The full error reads as such:

"1103: There was an error linking to the game process. Please try again."

Fixes and such would be appreciated

Okay so I fixed this by starting prbf2.exe or whatever it's called directly from the root folder. Of course when you launch it this way it says "no no, is no work..must use launcher...". This fixed the launcher and let me play the game. Huzzah!
