Yes, today I had the same problem: 1004: Error connecting to server. (10060).
I have discovered that it is not a problem for Project Reality only, but for Battlefield 2 too.
I have tried to create an account with this one but, after a long time of waiting, it have said "server have refused your request" or something like this.
If you open PRLancher/Support/Keys, you can see that it is unable to chek the validity of the key.

Hello guys,

Today, just as you were trying to log in, about 20% of the internet inside the United States came to a crashing halt.

The BF2 authentication servers were down due to this.

Please try again now, I was in the affected area and my internet is back up and running, I am guessing the BF2 authentication servers also have been brought back online.
