I want to get involved with modeling and coding.

I'm originally from Taiwan and I'd love to contribute a Taiwanese Army faction to PR. However I have no experience with modeling, coding and/or other video game creation stuff. I read the stickes but I want to know more. What's the best place for me to start off at? What's the best engine for me to learn how to code? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since you know nothing of either coding or modeling at this point... you should choose only one to focus on.

Having learned both (computer science in university, modeling for PR) I'd say that modeling is much easier to get 'decent' fast, but perhaps harder to master because the soft-skills like aesthetics can't really be taught, so if you're like me, you'll be stuck making mediocre props/statics rather than gorgeous guns or vehicles (let alone characters).

Code wise, in PRBF2, it's mostly python and .tweak coding, the former is actual code, the latter is just changing values and adding parameters. For PR2 code, you should specialize in LUA or C++
