Hello,
My hole sound is cracking all the time, didnt't had any issues in previous versions, or other games.
The cracking appears when there are other sound played, so sitting in helicopter sounds really nasty for example...
i tried all Audio settings possible but always the same.

Re: Sound cracking bug
Probably a long shot, but go to Control Panel, Audio Devices, click properties on your primary playback device, select the Advanced tab and change the sampling rate. It might help.

So did you completely remove your audio drivers and installed them again?Dr_Death wrote:strange, i decided to check again and it worked with firefox
edit: nope, problem is still going, i dont know what to do, already re-installed BF and PR and cleared caches. with this problem going on playing PR or even BF2 is becoming an annoying task

Remove the drivers and all the software related to them manually. If you can't get a download for new drivers just let Windows update them for you. But remove them completely!Dr_Death wrote:it is hard to keep track of my audio devices, but realtek said it was uninstalling the ones before it before installing them.
It has to be software, before i re-installed windows my computer ran PR just fine.

Re: Sound cracking bug
Why do you have 2 different drivers? Maybe that's the problem. To disable automatic driver installation do this:Dr_Death wrote:I will try again to just uninstall both realtek sound drivers and the HD ATI sound drivers, however, windows automatically instals the sound one, and when it does, the bug is still there. If you have any idea about how to make the driver be completely gone and not install itself after booting up i would appreciate it
EDIT: installed now both and the problem is even worse, i am starting to lose faith on BF2R
Start/right click my computer/properties/advanced system settings/hardware/device installation settings/....... choose no and never install drivers.
I think if you actually completely remove all the drivers + any related software and then install it again it should work.
