Windows 8.1 and PR. How is it?
So I kind of need a quick response. Later today I get to choose for my new rig win 7 or 8.1. I have a few other reasons I want to get windows 8.1 over 7. Just wondering how stable PR runs on it. And any major things I need to know about for PR?

Win8.1 is pretty good,
one downside, the Teamspeak overlay doesn't work.
If you don't use the TS overlay, it's fine.
Get ClassicShell .
also.. Make sure to build a restore media USB drive on the fresh 8.1 install, it makes any future problems much easier to fix.

I have both, but love Win 7 loooot more, better design (a LOT imo), and Win 8.1 has LOT more problems with software in general... -.-

Yeah. I realized that when playing at my cousins.Daniel wrote:I have both, but love Win 7 loooot more, better design (a LOT imo), and Win 8.1 has LOT more problems with software in general... -.-
Win 7 is more easy to navagate. Win 8 is more stylish.
But I find that Win 7 runs PR better then Win 8.1 (both 64bit)

Since that's what PR was designed for, BF2 was designed to work on Win XP, since there was no Vista yet, and PR was then developed for Win 7...
I'd say go with Win 7, and buy Win 8.1 in two years or even later...
BUT btw, there is a date set already, I think it was 2017, then Microsoft won't update Win 7 anymore...
(According to "Microsoft"...) But we'll see first what happens to Win XP next April...
And btw. Microsoft stopped selling Win 7 "officiall", so you should buy it quick if you find it somewhere (for a good price) ! !
