how to turn on frame rate while in game?

I am still trying to find out how to turn on frame rates while in game.

typing renderer.drawfps 1 in the console (~ key) will display frames per second while playing.

where do i find renderer.drawfps in the console

you have to type it every time.

join a server
hit the tilde key (~) to bring up the console
type: renderer.drawfps 1
press enter
hit the tilde key (~) to shut the console

On german keyboards: " ^ " key is the console key.
