How to see grenadier blasts

My comp isn't the best for gaming, I actually play PR with a 2011 Macbook Pro. So I can't max out all my settings and what not. What I would like to achieve though, if it is possible, is to see my nades blasts fired from the grenadier tube. I find that if I am firing >150 meters I usually can't see the blast, I can only hear it.
I have my view distance at 100 but I am wondering if another setting would help with this?

Set your effects to the highest. Once you do it, you'll be able to see the explosions at the longest distance.

Besides effects, I also recommend to set geometry to max. That setting also affects view distance.
