Al'Faz, longer name - Al'Fazuri'ne'lag'meuin'ne'sol'Durkka'Drukka' (dont ask why)
Map Description
A Group of Insurgeants have taken over a city near the borders of Saudi Arabia.Launching Attacks against Saudi villages and destroying farms. In response the Suadi Government (if there is one) has formed a special army to tackle the insurgeants and any other threats to the Middle Eastern Countries (a NATO equalivant

), and Middle Eastern Coallition is formed.

Sounds a bit far fetched since the first thing an insurgency in Saudi Arabia would do is to try and overthrow the Fahd family, but OKAY!

Fahd, family eh ?...hmm....sounds like an idea.
2 versions of the map :
AAS - Defeat the insurgents.
Xtract - Rescue the Fahd family from the palace

? hows that ?

I like the idea of MEC vs Insurgents, basically. Insurgents are usually just pissed off at everything remotley related to governance anyway, so they wouldn't be allied with a particular faction. Just be against them all. It's about time some people realised that MEC are supposed to be just another army, not crazy terrorist islamonazi's or anything...

Note These are Editor ScreenShots...see why :-
im having some troubles :
Issue 1 - Roads are grey instead of black (in the editor, roads are black - like i want them, but in-game they are Greyish ???)
Issue 2 - Alot of buildings are missing from in-game. They appear fine in the editor but not in-game (This was after i done the tmp.con - i will give that a try today and see if i can fix it - Any help on this matter is appriciated)
Issue 3 - My hot chocolate just went cold
Issue 4 - I got weird zig-zags with road!! (Its weird and blury

)
I think thats all the problems i have right now. But i really need to get Issues 1 and 2 fixed.

For the road, always make sure you have set your octaves to zero, even if they're straight roads. I find occasionally that I have forgotten to do that too.

yeah i always make sure thats done, and the range to 0.5/0.5 as well, that solves some issues.
but the other issues remain, can someone help me with these ?
I have tons of updates, i will post them soon. I will post ingame shots as soon as i can get some issues fixed.

I like the story line, its like the founding of the MEC. To bad EA never thought of a level like this. Actually... No never mind. EA would **** that up too.

That died also when my PC decided to go on a random deleting spree....but lucky i always keep an updated Al'Faz hard copy on my PSP, so it got saved.

Wow, I always new the PSP would be helpful in some way or another, seeing how it sucked so bad with most of its games...

Hm, from the screenshots it looks very tight. Opening it up a bit by spacing buildings a bit more might be worth trying.
