I can't join squad or create squad

I was playing Co-op and couldn't join a squad or create. I downloaded it via Vuze torrent and mounted ISO using free reccomended ISO mounter, installed fine, experienced some visual/graphic issues, restarted and it was fine. However I realized I cannot join squads? They're not locked, b/c I tried all squads!!
